      Hi there!
First of all, I am not a snake, I’m a fish that resembles a snake and that’s just in terms of looks, I don’t move like a snake. So, since I’m a fish and snakes are reptiles, I would say we share genes that are common to vertebrates (animals with a backbone), like groups of genes that make us symmetrical, that regulate our development (most vertebrates go through very similar stages of embryonic development, look it up, there are excellent images online), our immune system, etc.
